Also I just installed my 6000K HIDs but having difficulty aligning my low beam. 9003/H4: MORIMOTO ELITE HID SYSTEM from theretrofitsource Some rust forming on the strut tower.. Here is the height they were sitting after I installed them but I lowered the reflectors slightly to avoid any issues. I actually took the car for a test drive on Bathurst for a few minutes and luckily no one flashed me.
New found problems…

I came back from Richmond Hill Mazda after an oil change and they recommended me to get some parts replaced. My spark plugs are up for replacement as well so after doing some shopping around I decided to get them straight from the Mazda dealership. Since its my first time attempting this I wanted to be safe than sorry. Synthetic Vs. Non-Synthetic

Planning on grabbing some Mobil 1 Extended Performance Motor oil 5W-30 from Canadian Tire. Mazda Protege 2.0L engines intake 3.5L of motor oil during normal consumption. While doing an oil change it’s customary to replace the oil filer and change the magnetic plug bolt before reinstalling. Regular maintenance vary from make and model but for my Protege I tend to change its oil every 5-6k kms. Parts: Mobil 1 Extended Performance Motor Oil Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filter
Mazdaspeed Protege Exterior

I purchased a Mazdaspeed protege front bumper including the lip and noticed a major transformation after painting/ installing the MSP exterior face lift. Since only 2000 MSP were produced in North America, I was very lucky to find the Mazdaspeed front end with the lip in Ontario. More useful information about the Mazda Protege family can be found here.
AEM Short Ram Intake

I purchased a used AEM short-ram intake with a Dry flow filer. The installation process was fairly simple which required removing the stock intake piping/filter/ Mass Air flow sensor and replacing with the new parts. Its always advised to clean thoroughly when installing used engine components to your vehicle. Above all, always disconnect the negative battery terminal when working with anything electrical on the vehicle. The MAF and pipe may need to be adjusted before tightening for a proper fit. I also reset my ECU by holding the brake pedal down while the vehicle was fully discharged.
